What Parents are Saying

World at their Fingertips

The story behind Bright Horizons emergent curriculum

What happens when a toddler tells his teacher he loves cheetahs? Or a pre-kindergarten student asks what dinosaurs eat? At Bright Horizons®, those questions spark learning opportunities and lessons in math, reading, science, art…and more. Watch the video to see teachers and parents talk about this very unique approach toward curriculum, and how a child's very own interests become the launch pad for curiosity... and a lifetime love of learning.

Puppetry with Infants and Toddlers

You Will Need:

Colorful puppets, either purchased or homemade (make sure they don't have small pieces that might come off and create a choking hazard).

Directions:

Look into the eyes of your baby, hold the puppet on your hand and have the puppet softly touch and sing or talk with your baby. Wait for your child to make sounds or words back and then continue the "conversation."

Tip:

Use the puppet as a fun way to encourage language.
