You Will Need:
A variety of small objects (shells, acorns, corks, bottle caps, etc.), 2 poster boards, and a ruler
Directions:
Create two game boards by drawing 6, 9, 12, or 15 squares on each poster board. With a group of the same kind of object, place one object in each square, in a row, to create a set. Give your child the second game board and identical items and ask him to duplicate what you did on his board. Take turns creating sets and classifying objects.
Tip:
With younger children, start with six squares (two sets of three objects, one in each square). Take turns, or take the lead from your child as he might invent new games using the objects.
