We are located within walking distance of the State St T-Station. Street parking is limited. Paid Parking is available at 60 State St Garage. By Car from I-93 South & North to 60 State St: Take exit 24A (from South) or exit 23 (from North). Follow signs for Gov Center. Upon exiting the tunnel, bear left at the light onto Surface Rd, passing Faneuil Hall Marketplace on your right. Turn right onto State St at the light (Old Town Trolley Tours on corner). Follow past a Dunkin Donuts on your left. You?ll approach a Starbucks on the right and just after you will see 60 State St on the right before the intersection with Congress St If looking for 60 State St Garage: take a right onto Merchants Row before the Starbucks. Drive past the Bertucci?s on your left and 60 State St Garage will be on left Walking from State St Station: Follow signs to exit at Old State House at intersection of State, and Congress Sts. Cross Congress St to the entrance of 60 State St. Bank of America on the 1st floor.

Our School-Age Program

Guiding children to experience their world and pursue their interests

We provide school-age child care for school holidays, school closing days, summer day camp or when there is a need for back-up or emergency care. In our school-age program, we provide children with the opportunity to live, learn and socialize in a relaxed setting outside of school.

We offer a wealth of enrichment activities that engage the interests of school-age children. You may find school-age children creating a magazine or a video, playing chess or shooting hoops, tutoring each other or forming a club. Teachers are there alongside, facilitating, guiding and understanding that learning does not have to take on the tone and texture of a school day but rather be filled with fun.

Learning at Home

Stone Search

You Will Need:

A bucket or bag for holding collections of stones, large paper, markers, time to go for a walk

Directions:

While walking with your child, encourage him to find the smoothest (smallest, largest, whitest, wettest, most speckled, heart-shaped, etc.) stone he can find. When you get home, make a chart with your child that shows what you found. Make labels that describe each rock: rough, mossy, cold, etc. Let your child copy what you have written. Look in encyclopedias or on the internet to see if you can find the scientific name of the types of rocks you found.

Tip:

This is a fun activity to do at a beach or near a creek, but be sure to give your child boundaries and tell him to stay in your sight at all times.
