What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are also our closest friends.

"Thank you so much for taking care of our baby boy. Bright Horizons welcomed him into their classroom with open arms, and ever since, he has flourished mentally and physically. He always smiles when he sees you at drop off and we can tell he is happy. It brings so much peace of mind knowing our son loves going to school."

World at their Fingertips

The story behind Bright Horizons emergent curriculum

What happens when a toddler tells his teacher he loves cheetahs? Or a pre-kindergarten student asks what dinosaurs eat? At Bright Horizons®, those questions spark learning opportunities and lessons in math, reading, science, art…and more. Watch the video to see teachers and parents talk about this very unique approach toward curriculum, and how a child's very own interests become the launch pad for curiosity... and a lifetime love of learning.

You Will Need:

Empty oatmeal boxes or cans of different sizes

Directions:

Tap a rhythm on a box with your hands. Give another box to your child and see if he will copy you. Then, see if he can repeat a simple beat.

Tip:

Notice and comment on the difference in sound between sizes of boxes and/or cans. Make loud and soft sounds. Say things like, “How did you make that so loud? Did you hit it hard or soft?”
