Viewing 1/1 "Walking Feet" by Alex, age 8y10m

Viewing 2/1 Different types of medium were used.

Viewing 3/1 Children and parents could test out their dance moves with step by step instructions of some of the most popular dances: The Macarena, The Electric Slide and The Cha Cha. There were videos of each of the dances for the younger children to follow along.

Viewing 4/1 Artwork was displayed in "Art Museum" style with titles of the artwork, artist's first name and age. There were paintings, drawings group artwork, sculptures, jewelry, sewing and knitting projects.

Viewing 5/1 ArtSmart encompasses Music, Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts & Creative Movement and Dance.

Viewing 6/1 Parents and children had the opportunity to purchase items of artwork, jewelry etc. The money was donated to the Bright Horizons Foundation.

Viewing 7/1 Anakin and his mom are testing out some different instruments.

Viewing 8/1 There were handouts for families to do art projects at home.

Viewing 9/1 The children had the chance to explore different types of musical instruments and read a little bit about some famous musicians. The cards had the musical instruments names on them so they could practice ssaying their names as well.

Viewing 10/1 "Red, White & Blue" by Preschoolers: Avery, Ben, Jack & Samantha.

In our World at their Fingertips curriculum ArtSmart is the Bright Horizons approach to exploring, appreciating, producing and living the creative arts. It promotes sensory exploration, imagination and creativity, and allows children the freedom to evaluate the world around them, experiment and cultivate their own creative spirit.

Science Fair 2012 10/15/2012
Young children are scientists by nature. They are born with a strong sense of curiosity. Life is full of exploration, experimentation and the process of making discoveries. Science Rocks, the area of Bright Horizons curriculum involving science, entails obserbing, making inferences, testing hypotheses, classifying and integrating and communicating insight.
