Central Loop is located on the corner of Washington and LaSalle directly across the street from City Hall. We are located on the first floor. When you enter the building walk past security and the elevators. We are the first door on your right hand side. Please press the buzzer to be allowed in. There is limited pay-to-park in front of the building between 9am and 4pm; however, we do validate for 30 minutes of parking at the Self Park Garage (blue sign) which has an entrance on both Washington and Madison. This garage is closest to LaSalle Street, between LaSalle and Wells Street.

Our Toddler Program

A place for growing curious, happy and confident toddlers

Our space is built for active and inquisitive toddlers with environments made up of well-planned learning centers that allow for physical activity, child choice and self-directed play, small groups, and supportive teaching. There are reading nooks, sensory tables, great books, pretend play areas, baskets filled with dress-up and exploratory materials, musical instruments, and places to explore.

Learning experiences are planned to promote each toddler’s growing independence, to enhance social skills, and to build the confidence needed to reach their individual potential.

Treasures in a Bag

You Will Need:

Purse or canvas bag and small items (magnets, keys, old credit cards, lipstick, small toys, paint brush, etc.)

Directions:

Put objects in the purse or bag. Then, have your child open the bag and discover the treasures. Talk to your child about what she is finding. Say things like, “What do you call that?” and “What can we do with that?”

Tip:

This is a fun activity for your child to do in a restaurant, while waiting for a table or food. Be sure that objects are large enough that your child will not choke on them.
