Welcome to our back-up center, Bright Horizons Los Angeles Hope Street. We opened our doors in 1995 to provide back-up care to children and families. We care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our highly skilled teachers provide a special kind of care for children which was designed to help them feel safe and secure in a new and unfamiliar environment. Our mission is to engage every child in developmentally appropriate opportunities for play and discovery and to help parents feel at ease when there are breakdowns in their regular care situations. The center is located next to the Central Library and has access to public transportation. We provide validation for the first 30 minutes at drop-off and pick-up. Sit back and enjoy a Virtual Open House of Bright Horizons Los Angeles. Click here to access a 13-minute recorded webinar.

Nutritious snacks provided daily
To start your child’s day off right, consider his or her specific needs and what will make your child feel comfortable in a new environment. Please follow these guidelines:
- Food: Please pack a lunch or you may pick up your child. We will provide a morning and afternoon snack.
- Infants: Please bring an appropriate amount of food, bottles, etc. for the day (formula must be pre-mixed)
- Clothing: Children should wear play clothes as they are involved in projects that use paint, water and other materials. We ask that a change of clothing be provided for children under 6 years of age.
- Diapers & Wipes: Please bring enough disposable diapers for the day. Identification: Please label all clothing and other belongings with your child’s full name.
Our Back-Up Parent Handbook provides much of the information you need to prepare for a day at our center. Click here to view document.
