Welcome to our back-up center, Bright Horizons at Harborside. Serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, our highly skilled teachers and caregivers provide a special kind of care for children, designed to help them feel safe and secure in a new and unfamiliar environment. Our mission is to engage every child in developmentally appropriate opportunities for play and discovery and to help parents feel at ease when there are breakdowns in their regular care situations. Our center is open Monday through Friday for back-up child care and early education. The center is conveniently located near the New Jersey Transit Light Rail and the PATH train. Our building's driveway can be used for temporary drop-off and pick-up parking, and local parking garages can be used for long term parking.

Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, School Age

Nutritious snacks provided daily

Consider your child's specific needs and what will make him or her feel comfortable in a new environment. Please follow these guidelines:

Food: If you have an infant or toddler, please bring an appropriate number of premixed bottles of formula or milk for each feeding, and enough baby food for the day. Older children, please provide a brown bag lunch or arrange to take your child out to lunch.

Clothing: Children should wear play clothes, as they may be involved in projects that use paint, water or other messy materials.  A change of clothing should also be supplied.

Toys: Children are welcome to bring a blanket, pacifier, or special toy that may ease their adjustment to the center. Please label all toys with your child's full name.

Diapers: Please bring enough disposable diapers and wipes for the day.
